IEEE IMS KNUST
The IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society, KNUST Chapter (IEEE IMS KNUST) was established in October 2022 under the IEEE KNUST Branch. The Chapter operates under its parent body, the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society, IMS.
The IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society (IMS) is a professional society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). The IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society, is a worldwide group of scientists, academicians, industry professionals and students who share the vision of being part of “the premier international professional Society in the Instrumentation and Measurement fields”. The society’s fields of interest include metrology, analog and digital electronic instruments, systems and standards for measuring and recording electrical quantities (in both the frequency and time domains), instrumentation and transducers for measurement of non-electrical variables, calibration and uncertainty, instruments with automated control and analysis functions, safety instrumentation, and new technology applications.
This student chapter was set up to advance the of interest of students in all IEEE IMS Technical interest fields as well as increase the availability of opportunities for all members
